What is CodeMapr?

CodeMapr connects permission-based website intent with verified household addresses, timely direct mail follow-up, and holdout-based campaign measurement. It is designed to give qualified visitors another relevant way to respond after they leave a website.

How is a visitor identified?

Only through the visitor’s own choice. The browser shows its standard location prompt, and CodeMapr receives a location only if the visitor clicks Allow. That location is matched to the nearest street address and verified as a deliverable residence. CodeMapr does not collect names, and not every visit produces a verified address.

Is it permission-based?

Yes, and the browser enforces it. Location comes from the browser’s own permission prompt, which no website can skip or answer on the visitor’s behalf. If the visitor clicks Block, CodeMapr receives nothing. Visitors can withdraw access at any time in their browser settings.

Is this first-party data?

Yes. Every address comes from a visitor to your own website who chose to share their location. It is used only for your campaigns, kept separate from every other business’s data, and never sold. CodeMapr does not buy lists, append data from brokers, or track people across other websites. See our Privacy Policy for details.

What happens after an address is verified?

A verified address can be included in a direct mail audience for an approved campaign. Creative, production, and mailing are then coordinated so the follow-up stays close to the original website interest.

Can I provide a suppression list?

Yes! You can provide a suppression list of mailing addresses you’d like excluded from your CodeMapr campaign. This might include existing customers, employees, or households that have requested not to receive mail. These addresses will be removed from the mailing audience, helping you avoid unnecessary mailings and focus your budget on reaching potential new customers.

How quickly can mail be delivered?

Mail can be delivered within days after the audience is verified and the campaign is ready. Exact timing depends on factors such as creative readiness, production, geography, mail class, and postal conditions.

How are results measured?

CodeMapr uses holdout-based measurement. A portion of the eligible audience does not receive the mailer, creating a comparison group that helps estimate incremental response and revenue rather than counting every later purchase as campaign-driven.

What businesses are a fit?

The approach is intended for local, high-consideration purchases where website research often happens before a customer acts. Furniture retail, remodeling, and HVAC or other home services are representative examples. Fit depends on audience volume, geography, buying cycle, and campaign economics.

What does CodeMapr not do?

CodeMapr does not collect a location without the visitor clicking Allow, collect names, follow visitors to other websites, or sell or share data for anyone else’s marketing. It also does not claim to identify every visitor, guarantee postal delivery, or promise a specific campaign result.
